In 2009, the North American Grouse Partnership along with it’s conservation partners, including Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership, Pheasants Forever/Quail Forever, and American Bird Conservancy, formed the Prairie Grouse Partners (PGP). This coalition was formed to promote the conservation of the four species of prairie grouse and to implement the Grassland Plan for Prairie Grouse, which had just formally been approved by the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies. National Wildlife Federation, Playa Lakes Joint Venture, The Nature Conservancy, and Ducks Unlimited have since also joined in the coalition.
